We currently offer 3 types of self-adhesive white vinyl...

  • 3 mil gloss: thin, very flexible, great for smooth surfaces, conforms well to curves, best for small stickers or vehicle/outdoor applications, great for wet-application. Cons... very flexible and stretches easily, the bigger the sticker the harder it is to handle this thin material.
  • 3 mil matte/satin with Hi-Tack Adhesive: thin, very flexible, great for smooth and slightly textured surfaces, conforms well to curves, best for small stickers that require a little extra holding power, NOT for vehicle stickers, unless you don't care what happens to the finish under the sticker. NOT for multi-part stickers/lettering. Once the adhesive cures (about 24 hours) even solvents have a hard time removing this vinyl. Cons... very flexible and stretches easily, the bigger the sticker the harder it is to handle this thin material.
  • 6 mil satin: twice as thick as 3 mil allows for easier handling of larger stickers, resists stretching, great for smooth, flat surfaces. Cons... doesn't handle curves very well, tends to slightly shrink over time when used outdoors (about 1/32" for every 3' of material). Perfect for lettering, multi-part stickers, large stickers, irregularly shaped stickers, dry-install applications. Most of our stickers are printed on this vinyl.

To Calculate Cost:

  • Draw a box around your decal design and measure the box (height and width)
  • Round UP the width and height measurements to the nearest 1/2 inch.
  • Convert the inch measurements to decimals (see decimal conversion chart to the right).
  • Multiply the width by the height of the box to get the total square inches of the decal.
  • Multiply the total square inches of the label by the total number of decals desired.
  • Now you have the total square inches for your entire project. Multiply the total square inches for your entire project by the price per square inch to get the cost of your project.

Pricing Examples:

  • Using the eagle head sticker to the right as an example, the total square inches of this sticker would be 14.25 square inches (width of 4 5/8" rounded up to the nearest 1/2 inch would be 5" or 5 TIMES height of 3.0 EQUALS 15).
  • Now multiply 15 by the total number of stickers you need, say 50 stickers (15 X 50 = 750) to get 750 total square inches for your project.
  • Multiply 750 by the cost per square inch (.08) to get the cost for your project (750 TIMES .07 EQUALS $52.50, so the cost for 50 eagle head stickers would be $52.50 plus shipping.
